As a lifelong fan of figure skating I could not have been happier that my daughter chose skating as her sport. She has spent her entire skating career (8 years so far) at Nashoba Valley Olympia. At Colonial my daughter has found a competitive and supportive environment where she is encouraged to be her best both on and off the ice. When we’re not at the rink our family enjoys camping around New England, snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking. As a communications professional I have spent time in both business to business and retail marketing communications roles where my duties spanned the gamut from writing web and brochure content to event planning to media relations.

I have been a member of Colonial for the majority of my life both through my skating career and coaching career. Colonial has a very special place in my heart. I chose to be on the board to help our rebuilding process and to keep our club at the top of the skating map. When I am not at the rink I am enjoying time with my two sons. I thoroughly enjoy my role as hockey and running mom when I’m not wearing my coaching hat.

As a former figure skater, my heart skipped a beat the day my toddler begged me to pretend skate around the house with her! Since making our way to Colonial Figure Skating Club, I'm motivated by the incredible progress of my daughter who lights up every time she laces up her skates and steps on the ice! Driven by a vision to expand the club's reach and impact, I remain focused on bringing the joy of skating to new families by offering welcoming and supportive opportunities for beginners and experienced skaters alike. Professionally, my work in the healthcare IT industry, allows me to work hand in hand with various stakeholders across medical practices and organizations nationwide. When we're not at the rink, you will likely find my daughter and I either in London, UK, as it's one of our favorite travel destinations, or spending time with Mickey and Minnie as we are Disney Vacation Club members and true Disney enthusiasts!

My journey with Colonial began in 2019 when my daughter began skating in the Learn to Skate program. The dedication and support from coaches and the CFSC community over the years have transformed Colonial into our second home. I would like to help increase Colonial’s visibility in the community and support the club with marketing and fundraising. Professionally, I have over 25 years of experience in national policy and regulatory oversight of housing programs. You will usually find me at the rink with my knitting.

We moved to Acton in August 2021 and my daughter joined the Colonial skating club with Edge and Performance group class and soon joined the Synchro and Theater on ice Intermediate team. Being a parent of an enthusiastic skater, I am thankful for the Colonial skating club for providing a nurturing environment for skaters of all ages.

For the past five years, I have served on the CFSC Board of Directors, currently as Immediate Past President. My daughter, Lauren, and I have been CFSC members for many years, since Lauren started in the Learn to Skate Program. As Lauren became a more avid skater, I steadily increased my volunteering at CFCS. Professionally, I am Student Services Administrator, for a local public school district, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders for developing, implementing and evaluating programming, policies, and procedures consistent with best practices, regulations and available resources.

I have been skating for almost ten years, but with a thirteen year break half way through. Since returning to skating as an adult and joining Colonial, I have represented the club in three seasons of adult singles competition, three years of Ice Crystals including a solo this year, and one year on the Open Adult synchro team. Skating (both the joy and the hard work) provides a much needed contrast to my work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, specializing in substance use disorders.
