    U.S. FIGURE SKATING ANNOUNCES HOST CITIES FOR 2018 QUALIFYING SEASON, SYNCHRONIZED QUALIFYING SEASON

    (10/25/16) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today the host cities for the 2018 regional and sectional championships and synchronized sectional championships. The top four skaters in the ladies and men's events at each of the nine regional championships will qualify for one of three sectional championships. The top four finishers at each level in each discipline at the sectional championships will earn a berth to the 2018 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Dec. 29, 2017-Jan. 7, 2018, in San Jose, California. The sectional championships are the only qualifying phase for pairs and ice dance. The top four finishers at the synchronized sectional championships will earn a berth to the 2018 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships, the location and dates for which will be announced at a later date. 2018 Sectional Figure Skating Championships
